Dear Members,

By the time you get this issue, the rain has probably started. However, it feels good to look back on the fun the whole family had during the hot summer months and we are glad that the club was able to be a part of these joyous memories…

Our Summer Olympic Program was well patronized by the kids and young adults alike. As of this writing, we have a total of almost 400 enrollees and we are expecting more as we begin the second module. Soccer is topping the ranks this year. Swimming comes second and Ballet takes the third highest spot. The new additions in the program such as Krav Maga, Triathlon, etc. have been interesting especially for the beginners. We hope to get more participation next year as we continue to introduce fresh sporting possibilities to you and your kids.

Mothers did have a well deserved treat of beauty pampering from Paul & Joe as well as a bottle of Mango Salsa…On June 15, Fathers will take center stage and what better way to do it than to have a day of relaxation by the pool with a cold mug of beer on hand…and that is exactly what the club will offer-- FREE BEER all day for all the daddies!

For the month of June, don’t miss out on our specials---Sweet and Sour Lapu-Lapu and Poullet Grillé, a touch of Asian from our very able Thai Chef Sakun.

We have also launched our new set of quarterly specials which include special favorites during the recent months. The Pinoy and Taco Salads were a blast that’s why we have brought them back; same with the Salad Amandine and Grilled Rib Eye Steak which a lot of people craved for. We also have some latest specials for you to try: Chicken Thai Curry and Crispy Pork with Chili Ginger Sauce- deep fried pork belly with chili sauce served with Jasmin rice and cucumber salad.

Needless to say, with all this good food how can one diet??? Well I will tell you I have been very well behaved the last months eating the yummy Pinoy Salad as well as the Salad Amandine…but during the days when I just have to have meat and rice, the Chili Pork with Ginger Sauce is the best.:-)

What meal is complete without a sweet ending? None! Last March we introduced the Cake Craze and let me tell you I have not seen so much cake sales in a long time…I myself sometimes skip a meal (of salad) just to be able to get a slice of Frozen Brazo, or a Carrot Cake or 2 squares of Food for the Gods…Next time you are in the club please try it and bring some home for the rest of your family to enjoy.

In our efforts to contribute to the environment, we have changed all our styrofoam take-out containers to microwaveable containers so they can be reused. We are also using waterless urinals around the club to save water…every little step goes a long way.

‘Til the next Polo Post…. I hope to see you and your family in the club more often.
